  • Rejection prevention tip #1: Using the right form

    by admin AB | Jun 26, 2014
The Secretary of State periodically issues new versions of all their forms for business entity filings--including formations, statements of information and records . In order to avoid rejection, even if all of the content is completed correctly, be sure that your filing request is on the most current form.
If you're at all unsure, check your current form against those available at the Secretary of State's website.

  • A Customer Alert from the CA Secretary of State

    by admin AB | Jun 16, 2014
The Secretary of State's offices have issued an alert warning new business owners to be wary of misleading solicitations from "California State Corporations". This fraudulent mailing includes an official looking seal, states that the new entity has not yet obtained a Certificate of Status, and requests that they submit a completed form and $49.50 by a certain date.
Reputable service companies can request Certificates from the State directly on your behalf, but the Secretary of State is the only entity authorized to issue legitimate Certificates of Status.
For more information on the State's response, to see samples of the misleading mailing, or if you've received/replied to one, please visit the State's response website.

  • SOS & FTB Revival Services...Coming Soon!

    by admin AB | Jun 13, 2014
SOS Filings Inc. will soon be adding another service to its repertoire: reviving entities currently suspended with the Secretary of State and Franchise Tax Board.
Companies can be suspended by either or both State institutions, and depending on the complexity of each individual case, may take up to 6 weeks for the State to process.
Our expertise and location puts us in an ideal position to help suspended entities state wide. Our new service will include counter deliveries at both SOS & FTB Sacramento locations.
We'll be launching a sister entity to facilitate the revival process...so come back soon for more updates.
